Jay Snyder's experience in the fields of federal acquisition, intelligence, and the military spans over 25 years. Jay holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh; a Master's Degree in Administrative Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville; and a Master's Degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF), located at Fort McNair, Washington, DC. His assignments have included serving as the SES Director for Procurement for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Washington, DC; Chief of Operations for DIA's Missile and Space Intellligence Center (MSIC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; and several years on the staff of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research, Development, and Acquisition in the Pentagon as a US Army Reserve colonel. After his retirement from federal service in 2003, Jay joined the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce, where he was the Executive Director of the Tennessee Valley Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Committee. Jay formed Redstone Associates, LLC in 2006 to address a growing demand from contractors affected by the 2005 BRAC decisions for advice and assistance in relocating their companies and employees to the Tennessee Valley area. Jay is a CIA Fellow; a Fellow and Certified Professional Contracts Manager of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA); and a graduate of the capstone Defense Acquisition Course at ICAF. He is a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce; the Association of the United States Army; the Air Force Association; the American Legion; the Federal Executive Institute Alumni Assiciation; the National Defense Industrial Association; the Association of Former Intelligence Officers; and the National Military Intelligence Association.
